How does this photo op thing work?

We at Epic Photo Ops have tried to streamline your photo op experience so that it takes the least amount of your time, allowing you more time to enjoy the convention.

It should take you no more than 5 minutes between having your photo taken and walking out of the photo op area with it. The process goes something like this:

  1. Arrive in the photo op area with your ticket at least 5 but no more than 15 minutes before your photo op session starts.
  2. A friendly usher will direct you to and from the guest, please follow their directions. We'll have a place for you to put your things.
  3. Pick up your belongings and head towards the photo pick up tables, following the signs in the area.
  4. One of our cheerful print runners will give it to you as you arrive. Please make sure to have your ticket ready.
  5. Take the photo AND your ticket to the Check-Out station and have both scanned out. If you have purchased any Digital (JPEG's) prints, they will have already been emailed to you.
  6. If you have not ordered any JPEG's or Extra Prints, you can do so now at the Epic Reprint station.


What's the group number on my ticket for?

For your ease we have implemented a "group" system much like the zones used in airports for lining up. This way, select photo ops are subdivided into smaller sessions called groups where you may, for example, be lining up for Group 1 starting at 5:00 PM, or Group 2 at 5:10 PM, or Group 3 at 5:20 PM, etc.

This allows you to only arrive 10 minutes before your group start time as printed on your ticket, rather than wait an hour or more. On-site we will usually have a PA system and TV's that will show which group we are now queueing or lining up. Please always check on-site to make sure the time for your photo op has not been changed!


The photo op is a kind of Meet & Greet, right?

Photo op is just that - a photo opportunity with your favorite celebrity talent. It is unfortunately not a meet & greet and should not be viewed as such. It is very fast-paced so that the talent may accommodate as many fans as possible for this potentially once-in-a-lifetime moment. Out of fairness to everyone, conversation with the talent, aside from a quick hello, is not permitted. The autograph area is a better place to have any kind of conversation.


What exactly do I get for my money?

You receive a high quality, glossy 8x10 photograph of yourself and the talent of your choice, taken by one of our professional photographers.


Do I have to pay per person for a photo?

The price of a photo is the price per posed picture, not per person.

The limit of individuals per photo op ticket varies from convention to convention but will be posted in the information in our shop, or listed on the individual talents purchase page.
